Cloth Nappy Hunt Overview
1. Q. What is this "hunt" all about?
A. The Cloth Nappy Hunt is an online scavenger hunt designed to promote Work at Home Mums/Men (WAHMs). An Icon (pictured on the right) is hidden on the sites of the Sponsors, and hunters look through their sites to find it. You click on each Icon to register the find. The more Icons you find, the more chances you have to win some of the $10,000+ in prizes. |  |
2. Q. How much does it cost to enter this competition and where can I check out these prizes?
A. It costs $0 to enter. Nothing. No purchase is even necessary. And you can check out all the prizes HERE
3. Q. How many Icons do I need to find in the Hunt?
A. In the lead up to the main event, there will be 10 Sponsors of the Day, from the 22nd to the 31st of August. Each of these mornings we will announce the Sponsor of the Day, and everyone that finds that Sponsors Icon goes into the draw to win their prize. Only 1 entry per hunter is registered at each Sponsor of the Day.
During the main event, which runs for the duration of September, there are 174 Icon Sponsors in the hunt. You will need to find 40 Icons to qualify for second prize drawing ($50 value), 80 for the first prize drawing ($75 value), 120 for the grand prize drawing ($300 value) and 150 for the ultimate grand prize drawing ($500 value). You will need to find all 10 Extreme Icons to qualify for the Extreme Grand Prize drawing ($350 value), 6 Extreme Icons for the Extreme First Prize drawing ($200 value) and 3 Extreme Icons for the Extreme Second Prize Drawing ($130 value). Extreme Icons also count towards your total in the main draws (e.g. 6 Extreme Icons plus 34 regular Icons qualifies for second prize drawing).
There is also a daily prize awarded for each day of the main event. Finding an Icon on any day in September puts you in the draw to win that Daily Prize ($20 value).
4. Q. How long do I have to find the Icons?
A. Sponsors of the Day are announced early in the morning of the 10 days leading up to the start of the hunt main event. You have from when the announcement is made until midnight AEDT to find the Icon on their site, and be entered into their draw.
The Cloth Nappy Hunt main event will officially start at 9.00 am AEST on September 1, 2011 and will end at midnight AEST on September 30, 2011.
5. Q. How are the prize winners selected in The Cloth Nappy Hunt?
A. All hunters that register a Sponsors of the Day Icon are entered into a random draw the following morning to select the winner of that prize.
The "Speed" prize is awarded to the first hunter that finds all 174 Icons in the main event.
The Grand prize winners, First Place winners, Second Place Winners and Daily Prize Winners will be selected in a RANDOM drawing from among all eligible entries on approximately October 12, 2011
6. Q. What's the difference between Regular, Extreme, No Icon & Sponsor of the Day?
A. Each of the Nappy Hunt Sponsors has a Button on the home page of their website to indicate what type of Sponsor they are:
   
Regular Sponsors have the Icon placed on a regular page of their site, no more than 4 clicks from their home page. Most of them have a mini hunt, which takes you on a tour of their site, showing off their wares.
An Extreme Sponsor DOES NOT have their Icon placed on a regular page of their site. Their Icons are hidden some where tricky, and you will need to unravel clues to find them. This is for the advanced hunter and those that like a challenge.
A No Icon Sponsor does not have an Icon hidden on their site, but is still offering some great discounts for you to take advantage of with your Nappy Hunt Discount Code.
Sponsors of the Day hide an Icon on their site for just 1 day, and it is only 1 click away from their home page and you have less than 24 hours to find their Icon. After their "Day", they are the same as a No Icon Sponsor, with great discounts on offer.
7. Q. What is all this talk of "discounts"?
A. Many of the Sponsors are offering great savings at their sites to all the hunters. When you Register as a hunter you will receive a welcome email that includes a Discount Code. You can use that code at any of the businesses listed HERE

8. Q. It all sounds great. How do I register for the Hunt?
A. You will be able to register for the hunt from August 15, 2011. Please check back.

Technical Information
9. Q. Does it matter which browser I use?
A. Both Diaper Decisions and the participating retailers have done their best to make sure the websites work with all major browsers. (Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox Mozilla) However, you may be unable to view a website due to an older browser being used or system incompatibilities.
10. Q. I will be using a computer from home and work. Do I need to register for each computer?
A. You can participate in the Cloth Nappy Hunt from both computers with the one email address. Please only register once.
Hunting for Icons
11. Q. Which sponsor should I start hunting at?
A. The regular sponsors are listed in alphabetical order. Please start at the letter that starts your last name.
The extreme sponsors are grouped together and are much trickier to find. If you're new to the hunt, it's best to leave those until you've had a bit of practice with the regular sites.
12. Q. How do I know if my Icon registration was successful at each website?
A. You will be redirected to the Diaper Decisions home page.
13. Q. I checked my progress and some of my entries are not shown!
A. On the entry page, it's best if you click "Submit". If you just hit enter, your entry might not be recorded.
14. Q. I can't find the Icon!
A. The shops have been asked to locate the Icon no more than four clicks from the front page -- but where you start your search among the menu items on each website also affects how many clicks it will take you to find the right page.
There is also a HINT FORUM, where the Sponsors will be posting clues as the month progresses. Do your best to locate the Icon before asking in their thread. Remember, we want you to look around these sites and you have a whole month.
And a reminder, No Icon Sponsors do not have an Icon hidden on their site, and are just Sponsoring the hunt to offer some great specials to the hunters.
E-Mail Address Changes
15. Q. How do I change my address, phone number, etc.?
A. You may change your registration information at any time by sending an email to Sep2011@clothnappyhunt.com
16. Q. I have changed my e-mail. Can you please change your records?
A. We strongly suggest you do not change your e-mail during the Hunt or once you have begun to locate the Diaper Decisions icons. Your old e-mail address prize registrations and your new e-mail address prize registrations will not merge together.

17. Q. What if I made a typo when I registered?

Now That I'm Done
18. Q. Now that I have found all the Diaper Decisions icons, do I need to do anything?
A. Congratulations! Job well done! The hard part is over. Now the fun begins. We are sure you found tons of great ideas and products. Enjoy shopping! Be sure to check back frequently with the shops - - they are adding specials all the time. Don't forget to bookmark your favorite sites.
And don't forget to vote for your favourite sites. Prizes will be awarded to the sites with the Best Mini Hunt, Trickiest Icon to find, Best Product discovered because of the Hunt, Best Customer Service and Best Overall Site. You can vote HERE. And filling out the Survey gives you an extra chance to win! Each person that fills in the Survey goes into the draw to win a prize worth Approx $50.
Prize Winner Notification
19. Q. Can I see who the prize winners were?
A. On or about October 15, 2011, the prize winners will be posted at Diaper Decisions and each winner will be notified by e-mail.
Disqualification
20. Q. For what offenses might I be disqualified?
A. At Diaper Decisions, we try to be as fair as possible. However, you will be disqualified for cheating. We consider cheating to be the sharing of a direct link to an icon or telling some-one directly, or indirectly, the page to find the Icon. Do not email/PM a direct link or the location of the Icon. Do not post a direct link or the location of an Icon in a forum. If you are caught sharing a direct link to an icon, you will be immediately disqualified. There will be no second chances. Remember, for every icon you give away you lessen your own chance at the grand prize.
You may also be disqualified for registering more than one email address for the same person or household, for registering more than one person per household, making up a false identity with which to hunt or hunting in the both the US and Down Under hunts.
